In the article Comparison of Integrated Outpatient Palliative Care With Standard Care in Patients With Parkinson Disease and Related Disorders: A Randomized Clinical Trial. published, 2020 by Kluger and Colleagues, The outcomes and key points are as noted: Outpatient palliative care was associated with benefits compared to standard care alone. Compared to standard care control group, patients in the treatment arm receiving multidisciplinary palliative care had better quality of life based on Quality of Life in Alzheimer Disease scale (Treatment effect estimate, 1.87, P=.009) This was a Randomized clinical trial with 210 patients who were Patients with Parkinson’s disease related disorders and moderate to high palliative care needs.
