This is an audio summary of the article "Diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease” by Khachaturian in 1985. The advancement of dementia research is significantly impacted by the early and correct diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The National Institute on Aging, the American Association of Retired Persons, the National Institute of Neurological and Communicative Disorders and Stroke, and the National Institute of Mental Health jointly sponsored a workshop for formulating research to address the challenges associated with diagnosing AD in its early stages. The goal of the meeting was to pinpoint the most significant scientific research prospects as well as the fundamental clinical and technical problems that have a bearing on how quickly AD diagnostic research is conducted. Some of the most knowledgeable and distinguished scientists and doctors who are currently working in the research of AD were among the 37 participants. Six panels made up of experts from the fields of neurochemistry, neuropathology, neuroradiology, neurology, neuropsychology, and psychiatry each had a portion of the participants. Participants in each of the panels talked about certain research topics that needed more attention.
