Electric Boosting and Energy Recovery Systems for Engine Downsizing—Alshammari, 2021

Due to the need for higher fuel economy and stricter pollution laws, engine manufacturers have turned to engine downsizing. This study examines present and future technology for downsizing passenger car engines. We'll consider pros and disadvantages and recent literature on these systems. No boosting strategy is superior, according to the study. Application and system complexity determine the optimum boosting strategy.
