How to Reduce the No-Show Rate in the Psychiatric Oncology Clinic: Clinical Safety and Effectiveness Project - Rashid 2021
Mental health stability in cancer patients enhances therapy adherence and outcomes. The behavioral oncology clinic at a cancer hospital had the highest no-show rate. A quality improvement effort aimed to improve patients' mental health visits to prepare them for oncology treatments. Five months of data were analyzed to remove attendance impediments. This minimized no-shows. Addressing mental health barriers increased clinic attendance.
