Review of Platelet-Rich Plasma in Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair: Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial at 10-Years— Randelli 2022

This is a brief audio review. In the article Platelet-Rich Plasma in Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair: Clinical and Radiological Results of a Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial Study at 10-Year Follow-Up published, 2022 by Randelli and Colleagues, The outcomes and key points are as noted: There was no significant difference between patients that received platelet rich plasma and those who did not at 10 year follow up based on clinical testing and radiological evaluation. Re-rupture rates were present in both groups without significant differences. Re-rupture rates were different in both groups at the 2 year mark but the results were not significantly different. This study was a Randomized control trial with 38 patients who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
