Psychodynamic Psychiatry in the Philippines—JImenez 2021
Philippine psychodynamic psychiatry is described. They discuss modern psychodynamic psychiatry, training programs, and national professional bodies. Given the small number of psychiatrists in the Philippines and surrounding Southeast Asian countries, providing care to over 110 million citizens of the archipelago demands ingenuity. Psychodynamic psychiatry is widely accepted in the professional community. Psychodynamic psychiatry affects national mental health and the authors suggest international collaboration.
