Psychology's Replication Crisis and Clinical Psychological Science—Tackett 2019

Despite rising interest in replicability, open science, research openness, and method and practice improvement, clinical psychology has been sluggish to participate. This is changing, and we aim to encourage the discourse with this review. We begin by reviewing clinical psychology's techniques, procedures, and evidence foundation. From a clinical psychology science viewpoint, we address reform ideas, tools, and concerns. We investigate clinical scientific knowledge (e.g., implementation science) that should guide open science and reform activities. We urge on clinical psychologists to enhance their efforts to transform clinical psychological science.
